This is very good discussion synopsis. The four steps involved in controlling are important because of the way the human resources department makes the work environment safe for its workers. There is constant control for example that stand behind the way the employee is guided in its job or career. Safety procedure is an important example of how the system of controlling works. Other example include orientation, training, and again workplace safety programs. 

There are many ratios that are used by accountants and managers for that matter that are also important to the controlling function. For example activity ratios are concerned with the actual count of a business machines, furniture and all assets that are against all liabilities in the company balance sheet. A good example is sport clothing store sees more sales of a specific jersey as a team acquires a new franchise player and projects the sales to subway totally higher over the next three years based on the performance of the player. The demographic is the teenagers that will be buying the jerseys. There is an element of feedback control when the  sport clothing store opens an online ecommerce site that will sell twice as many jerseys as the store. Thank you and have a great day.
